The District
Installs in Washington, DC
The District is row houses and condos, and every install there starts with the building. Capitol Hill, Petworth and Columbia Heights row houses have plaster walls, a kitchen in the back that was redone in the 2000s and a bath fan that was never ducted out. Navy Yard and Shaw condos have the panel ready dishwasher and a management office that wants a certificate of insurance before the visit.
Or call or text (240) 802-7282. Hours 8 to 6, Monday through Saturday.
Row house plaster and condo building rules
Three of the finished jobs on our price list are in DC, including the bathroom sink re anchored and recaulked this October with a new toilet seat for $287. The crew comes in on 29 or New York Avenue and books the District two or three days a week.
DC condos run on building rules, not county permits. The management office needs the certificate of insurance, the elevator booking and sometimes a work window before the crew can carry a dishwasher through the lobby. Send the building name with the address and we handle the paperwork before the day.

DC install questions
- Does a dishwasher swap need a DC permit?
- A like for like swap on existing lines does not. New plumbing or electrical work does, through the DC Department of Buildings, and the licensed trade pulls it. The contractor is licensed in the District, and the number is on the estimate.
- Can you mount a TV on a row house plaster wall?
- Yes. Plaster over lath or over brick each takes its own anchor, and we bring both. The mount goes into studs or masonry, never into the plaster alone.
- Do you work in condo buildings with a management office?
- Yes. Send the building name and the management contact and we get the certificate of insurance and the elevator booking done before the visit.
