TV mounting across Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia
A TV on the wall is a one hour job when the mount goes into studs and the cables have a plan. We find the studs, set the mount level at the height you want from the couch, hang the TV with a second set of hands and run the HDMI and power cables so nothing dangles.
Or call or text (240) 802-7282. Hours 8 to 6, Monday through Saturday.
How the job goes
Brick fireplaces, plaster walls and metal studs each need their own anchors, and we bring them. Above a fireplace we talk about the height and the heat before anything goes up. Soundbars, streaming boxes and a shelf for the console go on the same visit.
Jobs we take
- Fixed or tilt mount on wood studs
- Full motion arm for a corner or a wide room
- Mount on brick, plaster or metal studs with the right anchors
- HDMI and low voltage cables hidden inside the wall
- Soundbar and streaming box mounted under the TV
- Old mount removed and the holes patched
Who mounts a TV in Maryland
Mounting a TV and running HDMI or other low voltage cable inside the wall is handyman work, done by an MHIC licensed contractor. The mount, the anchors, the wall plates and the cable run are all on the handyman line.
Power is the line we do not cross. A new receptacle behind the TV so the power cord disappears is electrical services under section 6-101(k) and goes to the licensed electrician on our bench. The listed in wall power kits that plug into an existing receptacle below the TV are an option we can set, and the estimate names which one your wall gets.
In Maryland, any work on wiring, a fixture or an electrical connection is electrical services under section 6-101(k) and belongs to a licensed master electrician or someone working under one. An MHIC license alone does not cover it.
The Maryland rule in full, with the statute sections, is on the Old Line Home Repair license page.

A TV on wood studs with cables on the surface is a job of that size.
